At this time MCA will remain in the present facilities. We are looking and preparing for the future however, aware that within several years the school will have to build additional facilities to accommodate the expanding school population.

MCA currently provides Basketball program for boys and girls Kindergarten through 10th Grade. A cheerleading program is also available for girls kindergarten through 10th Grade. MCA is currently working on a 5 year plan, to add additional sports programs as well as renovate and expand its current gymnasiam. MCA is focusing on becoming part of the Alabama High School Athletic Association.

4.) What is the difference between the curriculum used at MCA and those used in public schools?

MCA seeks to have a positive relationship with local public schools. Many parents want the choice to have their child educated from a Christian worldview where the Bible, prayer, and biblical morality are a part of the education process. The Abeka curriculum tends to be a little more advanced. Many years ago the public school curriculum was taught from the Judeo-Christian worldview. However, this is not the case any more. MCA seeks to educate the whole child - academically, emotionally, and spiritually. Bible is taught daily as a class and chapel is each Wednesday. Prayer is part of every school day.
